90th Anniversary Dinner

So, the 90th Anniversary of the Kiwanis Club has come and gone and we celebrated with an amazing dinner at Cutten Fields! The evening started with cocktails and schmoozing by some of our members, their friends and family, and local politicians, such as the City of Guelph’s MP Frank Valeriote, Guelph’s MPP Liz Sandals, Guelph’s Mayor Karen Farbridge, and Kiwanis’ District Lt. Governor Shelley Des Cotes.

Our Master of Ceremonies for the night was Chris Bedard and he did a splendid job keeping everyone in line. The dinner was absolutely wonderful and has my mouth watering just thinking of eating it again! One of the highlights of the night was our draw that raised $925 to be split between two worthy causes that Kiwanis supports: one local and one international. The winner of this draw won a Chef’s Table dinner for 6 at Cutten Fields, which I’m told everyone should experience at least once!

But this was just the beginning as many of us partied into the late hours of the night. Just when we thought the evening was done an after party sprung up with quite a few Kiwanians making their way to the eBar in downtown Guelph, for some dancing and drinks.

As the night slowly wound down there were suggestions made for us to do this again, and I for one hope that we do!
