The Kiwanis Club of Guelph supports, maintains and helps (to varying degrees) many programs and organizations in our community. These programs and organizations include the following:

 

Kiwanis Club of Guelph Belwood Lodge & Camp
Located on 13 acres just east of Fergus on Lake Belwood is a non profit organization dedicated  to meeting the summer recreational needs of 70 special needs people weekly.

Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph
Held each spring is the largest annual youth services program for the arts in Guelph encouraging 3500 aspiring young musicians to improve themselves by receiving Kiwanis Club of Guelph awards & scholarships.

Kiwanis VIP Program (Values, Influence & Peers)
Is a partnership between The Kiwanis Club of Guelph & the Guelph Police & the OPP where all grade 6 children in Guelph & Wellington County are taught about “Values, Influence & Peers” with a heavy emphasis on not doing drugs.

The Children’s Foundation of Guelph & Wellington
Helps children & youth reach their full potential through programs that support their intellectual, emotional & physical well-being.

Special Olympics Guelph
Special Olympics of Guelph-Wellington supports over 315 athletes and 61 volunteers with ten sport teams in six different individual and team sports.

The Eliminate Project
Is an international Kiwanis project that raises money in an effort to eliminate maternal/neonatal tetanus in Africa & Asia that kills an estimated 60,000 newborns & 30,000 mothers every year.

Guelph Sports Hall of Fame
Is a picture gallery in The Sleeman Centre in downtown Guelph of local individuals & teams that have been inducted & honoured at the annual Kiwanis Sports Celebrity Dinner.

Kiwanis Banquet for Special Needs Children
Is an annual December event of which over 550 meals are served to special needs students of the Upper Grand & Dufferin County school boards.
