Camp Belwood Baseball Game
For over 35 years now, the Kiwanis Club of Guelph has
annually challenged the Belwood Camp Counsellors to a baseball game in
August, followed by a Turkey Dinner and all the trimmings.
Unfortunately for the Kiwanians, this year we had to settle for Second
Place with a score that more resembled a basketball game than a baseball
game! In any case, the point of this event is to recognize the care,
devotion and attention these young leaders provide to our Campers. For
some of the parents and guardians of these Special Needs people, this is
the only respite they get.
Our hat is off to Camp Director Christine Murdoch for
yet another year of organizing and efficiently running the camp.
